The Respite Service run by CWCW (Enniscorthy) Ltd offers a fun filled break for people with special needs in a safe and friendly environment. The house in Enniscorthy known as ‘Teach Shinguan’ was opened in November 2009 to accomodate five guests and a team of staff comprising of a Team Leader, Staff Nurses and Care Staff.
Altogether over 100 adults avail of this service varying in ages from 18 years to 60 years and covering a wide area, including, Wexford, New Ross, Bunclody, Enniscorthy, and Gorey. As well as planned breaks for families, respite in Enniscorthy also provides emergency care for families in need.
Staff in respite are committed to providing a high quality service while meeting the needs of each and every person who attends. The aim is to provide a relaxed and caring atmosphere with lots of fun filled activities according to choice and ability. Daytrips, picnics, boat trips, forest walks, visits to Foto Wildlife, Rathwood, Dublin Zoo, Cinema and Bowling are just a few of the activities enjoyed while in respite. Musicals, Pantomines and Concerts are also a great favourite of those attending.
