Spotted Laurel- Aucuba

The male plant does not produce berries but the female plant does as long as there is pollination by a male plant.
This plant is bushy and ever green all year round. In the spring it has small flowers to which red berries are grown from in the autumn.

The Aucuba or spotted laurel has good foliage colour and is also shade tolerant. The ideal place to grow this plant would be in sandy, well drained type soil in either full shade or partial shade.

At its full growth it should grow to in or around 2 to 3 meters and spread in or around the same.

This pant should be fertilized regularly with liquid feed.

Here at Kilcannon Garden Centre we supply a variety of plants for shade which you should check out.
