Level out using a rake. 4-5 before sowing apply Westland Growmore and the day before sowing, water thoroughly if the soil is dry and allow to moisten over night.

If you are seeding over an existing lawn , remove any weeds by hand or by using a selective weedkiller.Once the weeds are dead, mow the lawn closely before raking out any moss.and remaining weeds.

To sow tear back the side strip to sprinkle the seed. Apply the seed a handful a handful at a time. Lightly rake to gently incorporate the seed into the soil.

After sowing the ground should be rolled or lightly firmed by walking over it. Water the lawn thoroughly with a light sprinkle to ensure the seed does not wash away.

The grass can be mowed for the first time when it reaches a height of around 5-8cm which is around 2-3 inches. A light trim should be enough for the first time. Gradually lower the mower until it is a height of 1 inch which would be ideal. Do not cut more than a third at a time.

After 8 weeks it is recommended to feed your lawn with After-cut Lawn Feed and Conditioner to get green results in just 3 days.
